Make Your Voice Heard - Urge Government to Pass Food Labelling Regulations |
As you know Anaphylaxis Canada has been lobbying the federal government and Health Canada regarding the delay in passing the new food labelling regulations. Over the past few weeks we have worked together with others within the allergy community (allergists, patient groups & Allergic Living) and we have asked for your help in making our concerns heard to the Prime Minister's office and the Minister of Health.
While our letters/emails are being received and have helped make some headway, we need to continue our efforts to ensure the regulations are passed by year end, as promised by the government in 2008.
We encourage you to participate in Allergic Living's online petition to urge government to act immediately and have the regulations approved. Please ask for a specific date in 2010 when the regulations will be passed. Let the government know that "as soon as possible" is not a satisfactory answer. Ask your family and friends to join in on this campaign as well to show their support. Click here: http://www.allergicliving.com/petitions/food-labelling/
Thank you for your continued support.
