A kiss is but a kiss...unless you're living with dangerous food allergies.
In that case, it could be fatal.
The vast majority of those living with food sensitivities are aware of their risks, but life as a young adult can be fun, adventurous and sometimes dangerously carefree.
There are relationships, alcohol, drugs, parties, new foods and different environments.
“It’s a pretty crazy time for all young people, but especially those with allergies. They’ve been under the watchful eyes of their parents and finally they’re on their own, perhaps hundreds of miles away at school,” says Kyle Dine, of Anaphylaxis Canada. “This is a time in their life when they absolutely — many for the first time — have to take charge of themselves.”
